In 2025, the EACS Summer School was (temporarily?) renamed. A three-day “Autumn School” on the theme of ‘字 and the Search for Universalism’ took place at FAU Erlangen-Nürnberg from November 14 to 16, supported financially with funds from the EACS and the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation and organized by Profs. Andrea Bréard and Michael Höckelmann. Twenty PhD students and young scholars were selected to share and discuss their work and learn from six senior scholars, all of whose work relates closely with the history of the sinograph.
